Dietary Services Holly Heights Nursing Center finds
that to many residents dining is the highlight of their day!
All of our entrees are prepared in house and selections appealing
to the resident’s choice
are offered at each meal. A salad bar with a variety of freshly
made salads accompanies the noon meal and a delicious homemade
soup is served with each evening meal. In addition to the regular
entrée and alternate, a menu with ten different selections
is offered daily to satisfy the taste of every resident. The
residents help to plan the menu, submitting their favorite
recipes for preparation. Continental Breakfast is available
in the late morning for those residents who like to sleep in.
Assistance is readily available in our beautifully decorated
dining rooms with tablecloths and flowers. Families are
welcome to dine with their loved one.
Rehabilitation Services Rehabilitation means reshaping lives and
restoring lost abilities after an illness or injury. It means
treating the whole resident – physically, emotionally,
and socially. In Holly Heights rehabilitation, the goal is to
return residents to their optimum level of function and open
the door to a better quality of life. Physical, occupational,
and speech therapies are available seven days per week.
Resident Centered Activities The Residents at Holly Heights plan their activities
from outings to Cherry Creek Shopping Center and Central City to
bingo, poker games, gardening, church services and more.We offer
group activities and individual activities to meet the preferences
of our residents.The
Resident Council is actively involved in making decisions that
affect their lives.They choose the décor for the
home and have an active voice in the day to day functions of
the home.
Volunteer Program Holly Heights Nursing Center has an active
volunteer program that is an essential part of the resident’s
lives.The volunteers perform a variety of functions from giving
manicures, reading individually with the resident, music therapy,
pet therapy to helping out at our social events. The volunteers
experience satisfaction in donating their time and enhancing the
resident’s
lives.
Nursing Services Holly Heights Nursing Center has a Registered
Nurse on duty 24 hours a day to provide supervision and oversight.The
nursing care is individualized based on the resident’s preferences
and care needs. A Care Plan is developed together with
the resident and their family to direct the care of the resident.
A Care Plan meeting is scheduled every 3 months with the family
and resident to update the needs, goals and interventions for each
resident.
Culture Change Holly Heights Nursing Center is actively
involved in Culture Change which provides for resident-centered
care. Baths are centered
around the resident preferences for bath, shower or bathing in
the room. Dining is paramount in the daily lives of the
residents, with menu selection, choices in times of dining and
the dining room is a pleasant atmosphere with tablecloths and
flowers on the tables.Holly Heights provides “consistent
assignments” in staff so the residents and staff get to
know one another and the caregivers learn the resident
preferences in daily routines, provide care respectful of the
individual and develop relationships with the resident and their
families.
